Hello loves!! Today marks the one year anniversary for my blog!! I'm incredibly proud of what I've done so far, and I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to share my writing with the world!! This year has been so fun and I have really loved working on this throughout the past year.
A couple days ago I realized that even though I've been working on my blog for a year now, I never really set a focus for my blog, which I don't think has really been a bad thing so far. It's helped me grow. I've loved exploring different topics with you guys. I've found what topics I'm good at writing about, and which ones I struggle to find ideas on. After a year of growing and learning and exploring, I've decided that its time to set a focus for what I'm doing on here so you guys can get a better idea of what you'll be seeing when you come to read my blog.
I've always been super passionate about girls knowing their worth. Lots of girls think they aren't good enough because that's what the world teaches them. I want to dedicate my writing to helping people feel good. I want girls to come here to know that they are worthy, valuable, and loved. I also want to apply it to real life and real struggles. Instead of just telling people that they're amazing, I want people to know that they're amazing even when they get a bad grade, or when a guy doesn't like them back, or when they fight with their parents. I know it can be hard to feel good about yourself in the midst of struggle, so I want people to learn how to feel great even when life isn't going their way.
This will be perfect for me. because I'm struggling with the same things everyone else is. I'm struggling with the bad grades and the stress of school and all the relational issues just like you guys are. I may not know exactly how you feel because everyone reacts to things differently, but I've been there, and I want to offer you the hope that things get better.
That's where the name of my blog comes from. finding something beautiful. That means finding beauty and hope and love in everything, even while things are chaotic. That means knowing that even though your grades aren't where you want them to be, and even though you and your boyfriend are fighting again, you can at least go to be being grateful for something. Life can be rough, but just because something bad is happening, that doesn't mean that everything is bad. Trust me, I have so been there, but I promise that there is at least one good thing within each bad situation. I'll be honest, sometimes the bad majorly outweighs the good, but the good is still there, and it's still something to be grateful for.
Along with helping you all know your worth and relish in the small, daily joys that life brings you, I also want to write what you guys want to hear. A lot of what you guys want to hear aligns with my two major goals, but if you want to read about something else, I won't ignore that. This blog was made to help you guys, so I want to write what you need to hear. That being said, I can't read your minds, so if you have a specific request for anything you want to read, go fill out the survey right here. It's 100% anonymous, so you can feel comfortable when requesting a post. If you know me personally, you can always text or DM me as well. I'm working on setting up an email for this blog and as soon as I do you guys can communicate with me through that as well.
I can't thank you guys enough for reading what I have to say. It means so much to me to be able to share my words and thoughts on here. Thank you all for all of the positive support, and for helping me know that blogging is something I should continue doing. I'm so excited for what the next year of blogging has in store, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.
Thank you so much for reading!! See ya later! <3
