i was listening to the song "note to self" by ben rector, and it inspired me to write a little note to my own self. hopefully it can also encourage someone else.
the intention i set for the month, and pretty much my whole life, is growth. to me, theres nothing more important. it's a pretty vague word to have as an intention, but i think that's what i like about it.
notice that i said "healthy lifestyle." not "skinny lifestyle," because skinny doesn't necessarily mean healthy. healthy comes in all shapes and sizes, and the most important thing is to focus on giving your body a healthy environment. with that said, here are my tips:
Hello! I'm jumping aboard this blogger confessions train for a few different reasons. 1. I think these are always really fun to read and gain perspective on who the blogger is, and 2. because I think it's important to stay honest on here, especially since I'm someone who is out here in the self-help/encouragement/happy part of the internet. I'm just going to go ahead and jump straight into them, so here we go!
Hello loves!! Today we're going to be talking about the only kind of approval that you need-- the approval that comes from yourself.
Hey guys!! Today I wanted to do a fun little blog post that's a little less serious than normal. I guess I'm just channeling my inner YouTuber today so we're going to do some skincare and makeup tips today. I know I don't have perfect skin and I'm not amazing at makeup but I just thought it would be something fun to do today! I'll link all the products I use below, and everything I talk about is something I genuinely use and I'm not sponsored by any of these products, so this is a very authentic review!!
Hey guys!!! I'm am SO EXCITED to announce that I released my booklet about body image last week!! A bunch of you have already signed up for it which makes me so happy and I can't wait so hear what you guys think about it!! Today I wanted to share a little part of the booklet in the form of a blog post. It's in the same form as the booklet is-- a quote or two at the top, followed by my thoughts on the quote, a song to listen to, a journal prompt, and a main idea to summarize the whole thing. If you guys like what you read, make sure to sign up at the bottom of the post to get the rest of the booklet emailed to you. I hope you guys enjoy it!!!!
Hello beautiful!! As you can tell from the title, this post is basically just going to be me telling you all kinds of good things about yourself. Before I start I just want to encourage you to share this with your friends if it helped you. This isn't a self-promo thing, I promise, but if you find something in here that helps you, chances are there's someone else out there who needs to hear the same thing!! Life is tough and so we should do everything we can to help each other and build each other up. You never know who is in need of hearing something kind.
Hey guys!! Before I start this post I want to make it clear that I 110% support people's decision or desire to go Greek!! It's honestly such an amazing thing to have a community of such tightly knit girls, and sororities put TONS back into their communities, which is beyond awesome. However, I do have a few problems with them, which are 1.) I can't afford a milkshake at Steak n' Shake so I definitely can't afford the room and board, 2.) if I go Greek I'll have to put my sorority letters in my insta bio which means I'll have to add the Greek keyboard to my phone which is a real inconvenience, and 3.) rush.
