hello beautiful!! in honor of school starting back up, i thought it was rather appropriate to talk about some habits i'm trying to get into for this school year. these are all things that i really want to prioritize, and i figure that posting them all over the internet will motivate me to stay accountable. it's my senior year of high school, and my goal is to enjoy it and live it to it's fullest potential. i've been pretty emo that this year is full of so many 'lasts,' but that just makes me want to truly make the most of it, and a good bit of these habits stem from that, so let's just go ahead and get into it!!
Finals week. It's coming at us faster than we can comprehend, yet the motivation to study is at an all time low. If you're anything like me, all you've been thinking about is sleeping in, how nice it's going to feel to be at the beach, and how having time to hold a steady job/income means you can buy a heck of a lot more concert tickets. Unfortunately, we can't get to those things until we make it through these next few weeks, so I'm here to try to motivate you to get through the rest of the year!! I'm a list kinda gal, so I'll be listing my best tips to get through the rest of the year when you have no motivation to do so.
Ladies and gents, we are going into semester two with more motivation then Elle Woods had for getting into Harvard after Warner told her she couldn't. I definitely stole that from Twitter but it's too relevant to not include in here. So, no matter how last semester went for you, this one is going to be even better than you could even imagine.
Anyone else having a rough year? School has been way harder and busier this year and barely a day has gone by without me being stressed. I feel like I've been working like crazy but it feels like every time I finish something on my list there's like 12 more new things I still have to do. I've been in a cycle of overworking myself without ever crossing the finish line of stuff to do and it has been frustrating to say the least. FORTUNATELY there is still hope and good things in the world, and I wanted to talk about how to handle some of the stress that comes along with school.
Hey guys!! Before I start this post I want to make it clear that I 110% support people's decision or desire to go Greek!! It's honestly such an amazing thing to have a community of such tightly knit girls, and sororities put TONS back into their communities, which is beyond awesome. However, I do have a few problems with them, which are 1.) I can't afford a milkshake at Steak n' Shake so I definitely can't afford the room and board, 2.) if I go Greek I'll have to put my sorority letters in my insta bio which means I'll have to add the Greek keyboard to my phone which is a real inconvenience, and 3.) rush.
It's actually ironic how much I procrastinated on writing this article.... but today we'll be talking about how to avoid that!! Getting things done on time is especially important when you're super busy. I've been slammed this year, and I know that if I had procrastinated on some of my school stuff, life would be way harder for me right now. A lot of the reason why we procrastinate so much is because of a lack of motivation, so let's talk about how to get motivated!!
Hello freshman!! I decided to write this article because I remember that the first few weeks of freshman year were super weird and scary and confusing, and I want to offer my expert junior advice!! I'm going to tell you my 10 best tips to help you succeed during your freshman year, so let's get into it!!
Friends!! If you're like me, you're starting to realize that summer is halfway through and you haven't even touched your summer work. The lit books are collecting dust on your desk. The math worksheets have been printed, but are currently shoved out of sight because you have literally no idea what a logarithmic identity is or how to even begin to tackle the infinite pages of math you don't understand. Sound familiar?
Hello friends! First I'd like to apologize for the fact that I haven't blogged in over a week!! It honestly feels like it's been way longer than that. I've been swamped with finals week coming up, along with a dance show I had this weekend which took up over 13 (!!) hours of my Saturday. My teachers are currently doing that thing where they think its a good idea to assign 86 hundred projects RIGHT before finals week Seriously, who thinks this is a good idea?? So with all of that going on, I've been struggling to find both the time and the inspiration to write something for you guys. This evening I was thinking about all the stress and crazy things that are going on and I was like "Wait, this is perfect inspiration for a blog!!"
Hello friends! I hope everyone is having a fabulous day so far! I've been playing around a little with the setup of my blog, and I added a feedback page! I'm really excited about it because it's a place where I can interact with you guys and a place where I can see what you want to see more posts about. I'm hoping it will help make the blog more useful because I can write about things people are interested in. If you haven't checked that out yet, I'd love to hear from you! For today's post I want to share some study tips because school is starting back up again, so I'm hoping some of these will help create a less stressful semester for everyone!
