i know we've all heard a million times about how we're in charge of our own lives and how we should go out and seize the day and build our huge dreams brick by brick until we're basking in the light of our own wonderful futures. and while that can all be a true, a lot of times it just sounds like a bunch of crap that's meant to inspire us but doesn't actually give us any real direction.
i love to think about the future. now that i'm graduating high school, the future i've always contemplated is quickly meshing with the present. the future is blossoming before me; yet something i imagined to perfection feels out of control.
good morning guys!! see what i did there? i love the mornings. i never used to be a morning person, and i'm still not one of those people who wakes up at 5:30 or something crazy like that, but i've learned that mornings are such a productive time for me, and i've learned to use that knowledge to make my life a little easier. i'm always exhausted at the end of the day, so getting everything done at the beginning of the day allows me to actually enjoy and spend quality time on the things i need two get done, instead of rushing through them so i can get to bed. i'm just going to run through my current morning routine with you guys, so here we go.
Hey guys!!! Today's post is basically going to be like a Youtube video in blog format! I love watching routine videos on Youtube so I was inspired to create my little version of one of those on here. This post gives a little overview of how I set up an afternoon routine when I get home from school, and I hope it can help some of you guys be productive as well!
Balance. Doesn't that sound nice? Imagine having more than enough time to go to school, do your homework, participate in sports or clubs, have a job, and hang out with your friends and family regularly. Sounds amazing, right?
GUYS!! I am so excited for fall!! I'm so excited for the cold weather and sweaters and hot drinks and cozy Sunday mornings and pumpkins and football games and homecoming and candles and fall-ish music (@ The Lumineers I'm looking at you!!) and fall adventures!! If you couldn't tell, I've been spending a lot of time on Pinterest (follow me @annaaacaveee) and I've been looking at a ton of fall pins and it's making me super super excited!!!
This week was my first week back to school, and it was a little rough. It wasn't really bad, it just wasn't one of the greatest weeks of my life. There was that thing where I had to wake up at 6:15 instead of 10:30. I had a ton of dance which added on to the lack of sleep, I had homework for the first time in 2 months and an AP Calc quiz on topics I knew nothing about. I was hecka stressed and I hated it.
I had a crazy busy last week of summer. I wish I could have had time to blog, but each day was jam-packed from morning to night. I was getting on that summer work grind, I had 15 hours of ballet camp, back to school shopping, dentist and haircut appointments, work... you get the point. It was crazy. I'm a lifeguard and no one was at the pool the other day, so I started scrolling through Pinterest. I was looking at someone's health Pinterest board when I saw this:
