we need it. summer can be a time where we neglect quality rest. for me, i wake up semi-early, i go to work, i come home and hang out with friends until it's late, then i stay up for hours, only to have to wake up bright and early the next day. but lately i've realized the importance of attending to my need of sleep and rest.

This week was my first week back to school, and it was a little rough. It wasn't really bad, it just wasn't one of the greatest weeks of my life. There was that thing where I had to wake up at 6:15 instead of 10:30. I had a ton of dance which added on to the lack of sleep, I had homework for the first time in 2 months and an AP Calc quiz on topics I knew nothing about. I was hecka stressed and I hated it.
I had a crazy busy last week of summer. I wish I could have had time to blog, but each day was jam-packed from morning to night. I was getting on that summer work grind, I had 15 hours of ballet camp, back to school shopping, dentist and haircut appointments, work... you get the point. It was crazy. I'm a lifeguard and no one was at the pool the other day, so I started scrolling through Pinterest. I was looking at someone's health Pinterest board when I saw this:

Hey beautiful!! Today we're going to be talking about body and self love because it's freakin' difficult!! I honestly don't think I've ever met anyone who has been 100% confident with their body 100% of the time. I have friends who have amazing bodies, yet are scared to go to the pool because they're insecure. It's so crazy to me because I'm just like, "dude, do you see how good you look????" It happens to everyone, and that honestly really sucks, but it happens, so we gotta figure out how to fix it.
