Hello friends!! Today's blog post is going to be one about my friend Jesus, but even if you aren't a Christian, I encourage you to stick along because maybe you'll read something that sends off a spark in your soul. Today I want to talk about feeling alone.
Anyone else get a feeling where they think they're completely alone? I know I do. Even when I'm surrounded by a huge group of people, I can still feel like I'm all alone. Sometimes I'll be having a great time and that feeling totally hits me out of no where. It actually sucks a lot, and I really don't enjoy feeling like that. I get this feeling a lot with my family. I love them more than anything, but I feel like I'm on my own for a lot of things. I'm the only religious one in my family which can sometimes put a strain on my relationship with Christ. Their beliefs are completely their own, and I believe that everyone has the right to choose where to place their faith and I wouldn't want to take that independence away from my family. But our differences in beliefs can make me feel like I'm set apart from everyone else. My relationship with God is very, very important to me, and I feel like they don't understand that or put the same value on that relationship as I do. That makes sense because when you think about it, the things that Christians believe can look pretty crazy to people who don't follow the religion. But it's definitely difficult to maintain a strong relationship with God when I can't talk about it with some of the most important people in my life. I'm not putting blame on my family (although it may seem like that) because they are going to choose to believe what they want to believe and I respect that.
These differences in beliefs can make me feel alone. I'm sure a lot of people have felt alone like I have, whether their situation is similar to mine or completely different. The point is that we've all felt alone at some point. But how to we deal with that?
The solution is actually quite simple. Although it seems like we are alone, we most definitely are not. We have Jesus. And with Jesus we are never alone. Jesus is your friend and He is always with you. Whenever you're feeling down about something, He is there for you. Jesus is like a friend you can rant to but won't ever judge you. Jesus is the one you can unload absolutely everything on. While we cannot handle all of our earthly worries, He can. He can take them off your chest. You can tell Jesus anything. It doesn't matter if you're telling Him your accomplishments, your sins, your worries, your confessions, He wants to hear them all because He loves you. It's impossible to get through life feeling happy when you don't have anyone there for you. But the good news is that He is always there for you. He is there for you 24/7, ready to hear everything you have to tell him.
Another great thing about Jesus is that He doesn't care who you are. He will be there for you no matter where you come from or what mistakes you've made. North Point Inside Out has a great song called "We Are Royals" that says, "This is nothing ordinary, there is power in the name we carry, every nation, every tongue, welcome to the Kingdom." Jesus is welcoming you to His Kingdom, no matter who you are. He wants you to talk to Him and to follow Him because HE LOVES YOU and He wants you to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. The song goes on to say, "It don't matter, don't matter where we come from, everyone is welcome in Your Kingdom, it don't matter if we're broke or we're broken, in Your love we have found our freedom!" Jesus is accepting you with your flaws and your sins. He has such an unconditional love for all of us, no matter how broken we are. We are humans and by nature we are sinners, and Jesus does not care. He wants to be there for you and to show you his love so you can show it to others. How can we feel alone when we receive the strongest form of unconditional love every single day?
So guys, Jesus is HERE. Jesus is LOVING and you are WORTHY of His love. Accept that loving and understanding heart and run towards it with your arms open wide. Put your worries on Him and know that wherever you are and whatever state of life you're in, Jesus has got your back.
Thank you so much for reading!!! See ya later! <3
